SeamTek™ High Performance Resin Systems for Ceilings
We offer 100% solids epoxy coatings (Glasswall NR) for ceilings as well as the newer technology of 100% solids urethane coatings(Ureglaze NR) . The chart below shows the perfromance comparison between these two systems. |

Glasswall NR is a high performance 100% solids epoxy coating designed for use on gyp board and other hard board products. The low-VOC epoxy is a dense coating that yields a high gloss durable coating that withstands the abuses of animal holding and pharmaceutical production facilities.
UreGlaze is a high performance low-VOC 100% solids urethane coating that is used much like Glasswall NR but has better chemical resistance, durability, higher gloss and a longer life cycle. It is definitely an upgrade in performance from the epoxy coating systems.
GridLock™ Suspended Ceiling System
While coated gyp board is the most economical finish for ceilings it does have limitations. Gyp board ceilings have limited access to the interstitial space and the access points that are provided are small doors fit only for slender people. Repeated entry causes breaks in the gyp board itself and it interrupts the seamless coating. This damage requires repair in order to continue to operate within codes. Further, gyp board is moisture sensitive and subject to water damage. Even if the water damage is minor the seamless epoxy coatings can peal require repair. Repainting and recoating can be costly.
GridLock Suspended Ceiling System is a fiberglass composite construction ceiling that meets ICBO requirements and ASTM E 84 Class A requirements for Flame Spread and Smoke Developed. The ceiling tiles are gasketed and locked in place with our GridLock ceiling clip that allows access to the interstitial space from below without the need of tools; only a step ladder is required. The GridLock suspended ceiling is offered in several versions from a simple drop in to a complete accessible version. Gridlock ceilings with stand high pressure washing and is chemical resistant and water insensitive. It is also durable, reusable and accessible from below and will not rust or deteriorate when exposed to steam and assists in air balancing and energy saving.
Suspended ceilings can not be used in BSL-3 and BSL-4 facilities but these areas still require something more durable than gyp board. We offer the GridLock fiberglass composite ceiling in a hard version that can be installed in much the same manner as gyp but sealed to affect a complete air and water seal within the area. The fiberglass composite ceiling does not need painting and will not deteriorate from water exposure. The chemical resistant get coat seal with withstand repeated disinfecting and cleaning and meets Class A, ASTM E84 requirements for Flame Spread and Smoke Developed.
GridLock ceilings represent the ultimate in performance properties and functionality for ceilings in high abuse areas. GridLock fiberglass suspended ceilings offer quick easy access to the interstitial space without tools. The fiberglass grid in strong and will not rust or easily deteriorate from chemical exposure. The grid size is offered in standard 1’ x 4’, 2’ x 2’ and 2’ x 4’. Within reason custom sizing can be built in.
